Segesta rises at a few kilometers from Alcamo and Castellammare del Golfo, in the Municipality of Calatafimi – Segesta, on the top of Mount Barbaro. Inaccessible from three sides, it was perfect for ancient populations, forced to defend themselves against their enemies.
